Cornwall Consolidated School Art Show
Beginning February 23rd, the Library will be filled with works by Cornwall Consolidated School students. There will be a reception for the student artists on Saturday, February 27th from 3-5 PM.
Celebrate Marc Simont’s New Book of political satire, The Beautiful Planet, at a book signing party to be held at The Wish House on Saturday, February 13, from 4 to 6 pm. Half of the profits will benefit the Cornwall Library.
Family Craft Workshop
Children ages 8 and up and their parents are invited to learn how to make two types of Japanese-style bound books with decorative paper covers. People who made marbled papers in January can use them, and additional papers will be available. Please call to reserve space and materials. Saturday, February 20, 1—2:30 pm

Valentine’s Day Movie
On Saturday, February 13 at 7:30 pm Jean Cocteau’s great romantic fantasy film of 1946, Beauty and the Beast (La Belle et la Bete), will be shown in French with subtitles. Movie critic and neighbor Joy Boyum will introduce the movie. Dessert is included.
Read-a-thon Sleepover
Bring a sleeping bag and your favorite book, or read one of ours, for the Read-a-thon Sleepover for third through fifth graders. It will take place from 7:30 pm Saturday, February 27 until 9:30 am Sunday. Games and snacks too! Details and permission slips will be available at CCS.
Hot Chocolate Hour
Third and fourth graders can take the bus from CCS to the Library for an hour of listening to The Magician’s Elephant by Kate Di Camillo, while snacking on hot chocolate and cookies. The program will take place on Wednesdays from 3-4 pm for six weeks, starting February 3. Bus permission slips are available at CCS.
