I work with patterns and fields of color. I find this amplifies what I find most intriguing; the way colors sit next to each other, what happens when they meet, how a pattern sits in a field, how it layers, and how it relates to other layers. I try to keep it simple and most everything I paint begins as a momentary impression or feeling; usually grounded in the natural world but not exclusively.
I paint because it connects me to the world in a way which nothing else can.
