Support The Cornwall LibraryIt may not be generally known how important patron giving and support is to the current and long-term fiscal health of the Library. It is dependent upon the generosity of its patrons, special events, the Town of Cornwall and gifts or awards from foundations, businesses and its endowment. The annual operating budget of The Cornwall Library is approximately $155,000. Of that amount, the Board of Trustees raises 80% and the Town of Cornwall contributes $33,000 (Fiscal Year 2012). Without your support, new books, movies, magazines and books on CD could not be added to the collection on a regular basis. Library hours would be reduced as would staff hours. Below are ways in which you are able to support your library. We thank you for helping us make the Library as success. The Cornwall Library hosts a number of events throughout the year that help to financially support The Library. Our Events page will provide more information. A book sale is held during the Memorial Day Weekend and Columbus Day Weekend. Donations of books are accepted (with some limitations). A wide variety of books are offered at reasonable prices. The Annual Talent Show is held on Thanksgiving weekend and always proves to be a popular event. Visitors to our website can easily make a secure donation to The Library through PayPal. |
